Hello, hello lovely friends and family. Another whirlwind year is in the books and we’re grateful for all of you, near and far, wherever this holiday season finds you!

We won’t bury the lead, but will share our biggest news up front: Gen is pregnant again… with (gulp) twins! We’ve only just found out, and it is still quite early days, but if all goes well we’ll be welcoming two identical twin boys to the family sometime in June/July. We’re told the ‘official’ due date is July 25, but twins are notorious for arriving early, so it’s likely to be a bit before that. We are excited, albeit a bit intimidated by the challenge of two infants at the same time. If anyone has advice, we’re all ears. :)

Sloan is now four (and a half!) and sweet as can be. She is the welcoming committee at her pre-school and has been enjoying gymnastics this fall and winter. She’s rarely without a doll or stuffy of some sort close at hand and loves being read to, and arts and crafts. Sloan learned to ride a bike this summer so the whole family enjoyed many bike rides on our local bike paths, and even got onto the dirt a bit this year. Sloan could be found many afternoons cruising up and down our street blasting pop music from a tiny bluetooth speaker hanging from her handlebars.

Gen’s work continues with Peak Neurology where she cares for the Alaskan community of people with movement disorders. She made a trip to Spain for a neurology conference in Madrid and added a few days of seeing the sights in Barcelona. She’s enjoyed getting out on the single track on her fat tire bike in summer and winter, tho she’s not sure she appreciates the 40”+ of snow we got in Anchorage last week.

Josh’s freelance photography and cinematography provided another exciting year, as production schedules seemed to finally shake off the majority of the COVID slump and slowly return to normal. Highlights include working with the Mary Peltola US congressional campaign as well as a bevy of local progressive candidates and campaigns, and filming documentary stories such as making a traditional bear gut parka, and carving Aluutiq masks.

Well, that ought to do it for a few highlights. We hope the holidays find you well and we look forward to seeing and/or speaking with all of you in the near future.

Much Love,

The Corbetts
